Meals & Spiels, and Other Fine Events from the City Reliquary

seltzer-smallerWe Dream of Egg Creams: Seltzer at the City Reliquary.

In February we penned a plaintive piece here about giving to the City Reliquary, a tiny nonprofit museum in Williamsburg that may lose its little home in an old bodega if it didn’t raise the rent money. (The fine space, which features plenty of objets d’eat, also got profiled in the last Edible Brooklyn.)

Good news is that they’ve met their initial goal of raising $20,000, and hope to meet $40,000 by July 31st, in part with a few super-cool events over the next few months, like a bike festish day, a movie about the last days of Coney Island and their first-ever Meals & Spiels on the 27th, a mash-up of food and drink from places like Saltie, the Meat Hook, Rose Red & Lavender, Roebling Tea Room, M. Shanghai and Brooklyn Brewery and lectures on the city’s food history at one of our favorite Brooklyn spaces, the Brooklyn Kitchen.  (Or the lazy among you could just donate here.) Here’s a round-up of the roster, straight from the source:
