A year after Sandy nearly washed them away, Red Hook Winery is very much open for business. I dropped in on them last week as they were receiving a delivery of Long Island grapes, harvested just hours before. With Lady Liberty in the distance, winemaker Christopher Nicolson guided in forklifts full of the fruit of the vine. Those grapes have since been crushed, but Red Hook Winery is firmly on its feet. I’ll raise a glass to them, and to unassailable Red Hook.
