Looking Back at How To…Holiday

It was a holiday with friends, without any family drama or long journeys through airports and time zones at last week’s How To Holiday at the Brooklyn Brewery where a team of experts schooled us on the art of holiday hosting.

Alie Shaper of Brooklyn Oenology Winery taught us how to choose an affordable and delicious wine for our dinner tables.  Jessica Applestone of Fleisher’s Grass-Fed and Organic Meats broke down various cuts of meat with the help of a brave audience member.  And Rachel Gladfelter of Rachel’s Pies demonstrated her technique for baking a blue ribbon pie.

There were samples to nibble, food from the Kimchi Taco truck to feast on, and of course, plenty of Brooklyn Brewery beer to wash it all down with.  Thanks to our audience–our most inquisitive yet!–for asking such great questions.  We’d love to see pictures of the food and drink you wow your friends and family with this holiday season.  If you’d like to share, send your photos to our online editor (amberbenham@gmail.com).
