Stay Warm the Best Way We Know How: With a Ticket to Good Spirits

It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter, right? Mittens, scarves and puffy parkas are all well and good, but when it comes to warming seriously chilled bones, they can’t quite compete with stiff drink. It’s safe to say that February will be frigid, so prepare early and get your tickets (available here) to Good Spirits, our seasonally inspired cocktail event on February 28th from 6 to 9 pm at 82 Mercer in Soho. Until then, below is the roster of this year’s participants to get you excited. Be sure to check out our Events Calendar for other great happenings going on around town.

What’s Ahead on the Edible Calendar: Local Fisheries, Slow Wine and Good Spirits

A few more sunsets until the first Hanukah candle; a few more bedtimes till Santa comes down the chimney…it’s an exciting time of the year, that’s for sure. To keep those excitement levels at a peak, here are a few shindigs both before and after the holidays, including a celebration for the publication of the first-ever English Slow Wine Guide at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Monday, January 30th from 6:30 to 9 pm. This walk-around wine tasting will feature 140 wines from over 60 Slow Wine producers. For more edible-minded events, be sure to check out our Events calendar right here.

Beer + Food + Film + Whiskey + Pickles + Jerky + Cocktails=What’s Ahead on The Edible Event Calendar

From everybody’s favorite pairing (whiskey and pickles) to a beer-centric movie night, here are a couple of events going on around town that we think you’ll enjoy. Be sure to check out our events calendar for more suggestions–and don’t forget to mark your calendars for February 28, which will be our first event of 2012: It’s Good Spirits, a celebration of seasonal cocktails and local liquors.
