DIY Gifts (Including Your Own) at The BUST Craftacular and Food Fair

Nothing beats a homemade gift during the holidays. It saves the giver the stress associated with holiday shopping–but more importantly it endears givers to receivers with the thought of the time and effort that went into that one-of-a-kind gift. So get crafty! Start by hitting the 7th Annual BUST Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair this weekend.

Lack of gift ideas? Try these Gingerbread men. (Just don’t eat their feet before you give them.)

It saves the giver the stress associated with holiday shopping–but more importantly it endears givers to receivers with the thought of the time and effort that went into that one-of-a-kind gift. So get crafty! Start by hitting the 7th Annual BUST Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair at 82 Mercer on Saturday, December 10 from 11 am to 8 pm and Sunday, December 11 from 11 am to 7 pm.

For two days, over 200 craft and food vendors will offer craft shopping (unique  gifts from homemade jewelry and stationary to clothing and toys);  craft eating (from La Newyorkina, Macaron Parlour, Whimsy & Spice, Red Hook Lobster Pound, etc.); craft drinking (the BUST Craft Beer Garden); and yes, crafting opportunities.

Stop by the BUST DIY Guide to Life Lab, where attendees will be able to make their own tiny terrarium, create a snowglobe, learn how to make bath bombs and discover how mozzarella can be made in a microwave. Project Runway fans, be sure to check out celebrity vendor Jay McCarroll, who will be manning a booth on Saturday.

The first 300 future-crafters each day will receive free goodie bags, and the entrance fee is a budget-friendly $3. Hey, this is a crowd of crafters, after all.
