We’ve Got Some Goodies to Give Away to You (Including Pig Island Tickets)

Wouldn't a half-pound of Cherry Grove's Shippetaukin Blue be swell?

If you work for them, that is. You might have been hearing about our Eat Drink Local Challenge: 20 to-dos, 11 days to do em, those who impress us with their Edible activities are on deck for prizes like the below. (Here’s more on what to do.) But in the meantime, we’ve got three free tickets to next weekend’s fall-food-fest/local meat-masterpiece at Governor’s Island — it’s called Pig Island — that we want to give away right now, to those who post photos of their handiwork cooking up an ingredient of the week or ordering an Eat Drink Local special on our Eat Drink Local Flickr page. Do it!

And… a few of the winnables for challenge participants:

One overstuffed Greenmarket Gourmet Bag
The best of Long Island in Wolffer and Paumanok Wines
Freakishly amazing jams from Anarchy in a Jar
Super spears of Rick’s Picks
1/2 lb. wedge of cheese from Cherry Grove Farm from NJ, courtesy Lucy’s Whey
4 pints of Il Laboratoria Del Gelato
Bodum’s classically cool glass coffee presses
Signed copies of books from incredible authors like Marion Nestle and Garrett Oliver
Subscriptions to Edible Magazines
Tickets to Good Beer, Uncorked and Good Spirits
And a grand prize of 2 nights at the Roger Smith hotel for two guests, plus a dinner and drink at Lily’s.
