EDIBLE GLIMPSES: Highlights from Edible Escape

Martinican codfish fritters, Portuguese bacalhau, Bajan plantains, Ukranian pierogi, Long Island wine, Irish cheeses–nope, it’s not our food bucket list. We actually ate all that–and more–last week at Edible Escape, our global travel tasting party at the gorgeous Angel Orensanz Foundation.

Over 30 vendors (including 4 breweries; 4 spirit brands; 9 restaurants7 wineries and everybody in between) served up an array of treats while the more than 400 guests mingled and ate and drank their way around the venue, letting their taste buds guide them.  We hope the copies of Edible publications from across the nation we had on hand will inspire us all to eat and drink locally while away from home.  And congrats to our lucky guests who won all-expenses-paid culinary trips to Santa Barbara, California and Austin, Texas!

A big thank you to all of our vendors and these sponsors: Olive Oil from Spain, Edible Communities Publications, Whole Foods, Austin: Live Music Capital of the World, Stella Artois, Green Mountain Energy, Long Island Wine Country, Hudson Valley Travel and La Martinique.
