IN OUR CURRENT ISSUE: Local New York Beer

For some time, New York has produced local…well, just about everything.  There’s honey, meat, cheese, grains, wine and even spirits.  But New York beer was long nothing more than a dream, thanks to a lack of local farmers growing barley and hops.  Enter Mark Van Glad, founder of the year-old Tundra Brewery up in the Catskills, who decided to do something brilliant: grow his own.  Read more on his local beer, the very first to hit the Greenmarkets, here in our magazine.
