The Pickle Blog Gets the Eat Drink Local Nod

As the last day of Eat Drink Local Week unfolds, we’d just like to tip our hats to the pickler who’s usually wearing one: Rick Field of Rick’s Picks. Always a supporter of local produce and of all things Edible, Field has tasked his staff with using our Seven Ingredients of the Week and one of their pickles and creating a new recipe. His contribution is Khool Gherk Mignonette for local oysters, yesterday’s ingredient pick. You can find the rest of his crew’s creations as they’re posted at The Pickle Blog, along with countless other Field concoctions using his pickles. (We’ve always been a big fan of Pepi-Pep Peps, which are sadly currently out of stock, in our pimento cheese.) Field is now a serious contender to sweep the Eat Drink Local Week challenge, by the way, but you’ve still got about nine hours to catch up.
