While it might take a few days to hit the bookshops, bars and restaurants of this fair city, you can now read all of the January/February issue of Edible Manhattan right here. There’s plenty to peruse, but you might start with the piece on our cover girl, the lovely little Subway Inn, the 1930s bar in Midtown just across the street from Bloomie’s.
We’re also really proud of a piece penned by Mr. Cutlets himself (Josh Ozersky) on the men of LaFrieda meats, the long-standing Manhattan butcher shop behind the city’s best steaks, heritage veal and burger boomlet. (Just for starters.) We also profile Roni-Sue’s Chocolates, Myers of Keswick, Marco Canora’s second home, the restaurant Hearth, and a new law that may (or may not) bring wine to our supermarket aisles. Until then, however, we’ll settle for $4 pints at the Subway Inn.
