This food world we know and love is ever expanding, but when you’re at a career crossroads, it’s often hard to figure out which route to take. Should I go back to school to become an RD? Or avoid organic chem and become a school garden educator? No… I’ve got it… I want to be the next Food Network star.

In her eCourse How to Create a Meaningful Career in Food & Wellness, nutritionist Julie Negrin is on a mission to help you figure out what the hell you want to do with your life. Through a series of webinars, she’ll discuss strategic ways to carve out the career path that makes the most sense for you.

For the past 15 years, Julie has designed and executed custom culinary, wellness and nutrition education programs throughout the country. She has worked with countless organizations, including our friends at Stone Barns, Natural Gourmet Institute and the Institute of Culinary Education. And if you want to get your 3-year-old to cook (and eat!) sweet-n-sour tofu, her book Easy Meals to Cook With Kids provides detailed instructions.

The eCourse is divided into two sections, and students have the choice to sign up for four or eight weeks. In weeks one through four – Discover Your Calling in Food & Wellness – Julie will discuss the most effective ways to create a meaningful and sustainable business. She’ll cover where to research food jobs, networking, and social media. Weeks five through eight – How to Monetize a Career in Food and Wellness – will go into greater depth about developing your niche, prioritizing costs, and maximizing profit.

The course will run every Tuesday from February 4 to March 25 from 1-2 PM, and you can call in from anywhere. If you can’t call in to the live webinar (because the job you’re trying to get out of doesn’t give you a lunch break), you can also listen to the recordings at any time.

Want a sneak peek? Register for Julie’s free introductory eChat, Discover Your Calling in Food & Wellness, on January 14 at 10-11 AM. If you can’t make the live call, all registrants will receive a recording of the audio segment.
