Our panel of experts will be sharing their wisdom and answering your questions:
Cathy Erway has been writing the blog Not Eating Out In New York since 2006, and is the author of the memoir, The Art of Eating In: How I Learned to Stop Spending and Love the Stove. She has written for numerous publications including Serious Eats, Saveur.com, Civil Eats and Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn magazines. She is the host of the weekly podcast, Eat Your Words, on Heritage Radio Network.
Billy Lyons is a freelance blogger who currently contributes to Zagat Buzz and Village Voice’s Fork in the Road food blogs. After working several jobs that focused more on speaking to people, he decided writing to them was much more enjoyable. He first entered the world of professional food blogging in June 2012 by approaching a Zagat editor with an inside tip about a restaurant opening and submitting an article. He hasn’t stopped since. With additional life experiences in stand up and improv comedy, he thoroughly enjoys finding the humor in any situation when it comes to breaking culinary news. He is a graduate of the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA, where he attained a BA in Rhetoric and Communication Studies. A native of Manhasset, New York (it’s in Long Island), he lives in Brooklyn, but not the Brooklyn his parents remembered.
Alex Reichek is the face behind Chekmark Eats, started after she tired of receiving constant streams of requests for her recommendations on the latest and greatest places to eat in New York City. Chekmark Eats was named one of “The Best NY Food Blogs” by the Huffington post just a year after it launched.
Ariel Lauren Wilson, digital editor of Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn, will moderate the program.
