The Greene Space Presents Queens Craft Breweries

Event Navigation

There are four licensed breweries in Queens right now, while only one year ago there were none. Tonight you’ll find out why the borough has become a brewing hotspot, taste its best beers, and find out what it’s like to start a brewery in NYC.

Your host for the evening is Jimmy Carbone, owner ofJimmy’s 43, host of “Beer Sessions Radio” and co-founder ofThe Good Beer Seal. He’ll convene a panel of experts that will include Robby Crafton of Big Alice BreweryRich Castagna of Bridge & Tunnel BreweryEthan Long of Rockaway Brewing Company andChris Schonberger of First We Feast.

Everyone will get a taste of Queens’ best beers from the brewers on our panel as well as snacks to pair with them. After the panel concludes, you’ll be drinking to a soundtrack of live music by self-proclaimed ‘funk-blast warriors’ from Queens, The Great Apes. Last year they were awarded the ‘Audience Choice’ award at our 2012 Battle of the Boroughs, where the combination of J.Trom’s soul-man howl with the group’s electro-funk force electrified fans on the dance floor!
