Slow Food NYC Presents the Second Annual Spirits of New York

Regional, artisanal spirits producers are at the forefront of an exciting, and slightly intoxicating, revolution – re-invigorating small scale, regional, spirits production.  They are helping build regional economies by supporting New York farms and creating New York jobs, and they are doing it all deliciously.  Slow Food NYC, and Astor Centerare pleased to collaborate on the second annual SPIRITS OF NEW YORK event featuring spirits made in New York, primarily with principle ingredients grown and produced in New York or, if not, fair or direct traded.  Selected regional producers’ beverages – vodka, gin, shine, white brandy, rye, Bourbon, and jack – will be served up neat and in tantalizing, season and place- inspired cocktails for truly local libation.  Participating distillers include Cacao Prieto LLC, Dutch’s Spirits, Industry City Distillery, Jack from Brooklyn, The Noble Experiment, Uncouth Vermouth, Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery and White Pike Whiskey/Fingerlakes Distilling. To complement their products, New York distillers will be joined by local producers of bitters, syrups, and mixers.
