From our organizers:
Join us for our largest event of the year, featuring a seated dinner from renowned chefs and a live auction. This year, the Spring Benefit honors legendary restaurateur, activist and pioneer of the local food movement Alice Waters, who founded the original Edible Schoolyard garden and teaching kitchen in Berkeley, California. For the first time ever, Edible Schoolyard NYC will also spotlight independent farmers from across the country, who will be working alongside its all-star lineup of chefs to create special menus for the evening’s seated dinner. In addition, actor Jake Gyllenhaal will serve as honorary co-chair. Gyllenhaal has been a supporter of The Edible Schoolyard Project and Edible Schoolyard NYC for a long time and is a dear friend of Waters.
