We were checking out the new Stumptown Coffee roasting facility in Red Hook this past week — just one part of the blossoming bean scene in Brooklyn — when they let drop they’d be serving at the little citywide music showcase called CMJ.

On both Friday and Saturday nights at The Pure Volume House, L’Asso Pizza is sponsoring a CMJ showcase cum pizza party cum comedy show in honor of their fifth anniversary, and Stumptown will be there brewing up fresh cups for the crowd. If live music’s not your thing, meanwhile, be sure to check out Stumptown’s swank new digs in the Ace Hotel.
