We know we always tell you that you missed out big-time if you skipped an Edible event, but this time we REALLY mean it. Sure, it was all sleety and thundersnowy last night, but the first (of more to come) Edible Brooklyn food truck tasting dinners — aka “The Truck Stops Here” — was well worth the weather. With pairings from our fantastic host, Brooklyn Brewery, guests lined up streetside to sample the flavors of five awesome food trucks: Jen ‘N Outlaw’s Fish Fry Truck (spicy crawfish with potatoes and corn); Rickshaw Dumpling (Hudson Valley Peking Duck dumplings with hoisin dipping sauce); Souvlaki GR (a pork souvlaki roll and a massive bag of freshly cut, feta and herb-topped fries); Mexicue (brisket sliders with avocado, arbol chile sauce and habanero aioli slaw); Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream (vanilla or chocolate scoops).  Check out more of Max Flatow’s amazing photos of the event on Edible Brooklyn‘s Facebook page, and be sure to “Like” us while you’re there.
