4 Cocktails to Make This Holiday Season

‘Tis the season for shopping for locally made gifts at pop-up markets, snowball fights and raising a class of a festive cocktails with family and friends. We recently stopped by the Skylark, Seamstress and 21 Greenpoint to get bartenders Johnny Swet’s, Pamela Wiznitzer’s and Jen Abbott’s favorite holiday cocktail recipes. From a spin on a Manhattan to a pretty red punch to the classic Brooklyn, see how they make the drinks and use the recipes for your own holiday gathering.

Dry Oak Manhattan
Makes 1 drink
2 ounce George Dickel Rye
1 ounce  Carpano Bianco
3 dashes Orange Bitters
1 bar spoon of American Oak Extract

Add all ingredients into a mixing class with ice and stir to temperature. Strain into a Martini Glass or Coup. Garnish with orange twist.

Prince Harry (Our Favorite Ginger)
Makes 1 drink
1 1/2 ounce Tito’s Vodka
1 ounce Pama Pomegranate Liquor
1/2 ounce Agave
3/3 ounce Lime Juice

Mix all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a Copper Mug and serve with pomegranate ice. Top with Ginger Beer

Ruffino Prosecco & Port Punch
Great for batching 
1 1/2 parts Ruffino Prosecco
1 part port
1 part white tea
3/4 part lemon juice
1/2 part cranberry juice
1/2 part simple syrup

Combine the ingredients except for the Ruffino Prosecco into a bowl. Stir and then add in Ruffino Prosecco. Lightly stir and garnish with lemon wheels and fresh cranberries.

Brooklyn
Makes 1 drink
1.5 ounces Redemption Rye Whiskey
1.5 ounces dry vermouth
1/4 ounce Bigallet China-China amer
1/4 ounce maraschino

Pour all ingredients into a mixer, add ice, stir, strain into a chilled Nick & Nora cocktail glass, and finish with a cherry.
