This East Village pub specializes in draft beer, with a master list of
brews meant for pairing with its way above-and-beyond bar food menu,
which featuring local meats, dairy, and produce: Think Russ &
Daughters pickled herring plates, local cheeses, Pennsylvania pretzels,
sausages and spicy mustards--and those are just the snacks. It's also
ground-zero for the local food movement, thanks to owner Jimmy
Carbone's constant parties for farmers, fishermen, food writers and

On the menu for Eat Drink Local week...
On Monday, June 24th, Jimmy's No. 43 will host a special dinner curated by Canadian Guest Chef Marc Giroux and will include (subject to availability) the following five courses:
1: Local Peconic Bay Oysters, garnished with lemon and local chili pepper
2: Stuffed Squash Blossom
3: A Salad of Local Ingredients: Radish, snap pea, egg, yogurt, dill, etc.
4: Meatballs made from meat locally sourced, garnished with garlic scapes and tomato
5: Pork Belly with rhubarb
Courses will be paired with beers by 12 Percent Imports and Shelton Brothers. Reserve a spot on the 24th here. To enjoy the menu after 24th (and through the 29th), reservations are required by calling the restaurant. $45, tax and gratuity not included.
