April 6, 2010
On April 6, Edible magazines will stage its second installment of the cocktail celebration called Good Spirits, at the Bell House. (To see a recap of the inaugural Good Spirits, go here.) Here's the deal: Mixology-minded chefs from the tastiest boro will strive for liquid symbiosis, cooking up perfect pairings for cocktails made with storied spirits. We'll be pouring Empire State favorites like Tuthilltown Spirits and Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery, as well as small batch selections from Vertical Vodka, Chartreuse and Illegal Mexcal. The Vanderbuilt, No. 7, James, Walter Foods, The Farm on Adderley and Palo Santo are confirmed to prepare food. Stay tuned for more details, including who will be our special guest bartender providing bite-by-sip commentary. We can't wait to taste the pairings they're preparing. This event will sell out, so get your tickets now. Tickets are just $40 for an evening of food, drink and merriment. (Enter the code "cocktail" and we'll include a one-year subscription to Edible Manhattan or Edible Brooklyn for free.)

Lest we let the entire New York Metro region forget that a world-class wine country is barely two hours from its front door, Edible Brooklyn, along with its sister publications, Edible Manhattan and Edible East End, Long Island Wine Council with support from the New York Wine and Grape Foundation , will hold its four annual sipping soiree: Brooklyn Uncorked, on May 12, 2010 at the spectacular Brooklyn Academy of Music at 30 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The Long Island wine is the main draw, of course. But it doesn't go unpaired-the Feedbag reviewed the 2009 event. Buy tickets here.

Good Beer, Brooklyn Academy of Music
Our first annual beer bash sure was a hoot, and the chefs and brewers are already brainstorming for next year. Here's the deal. We invite a dozen of our favorite restaurants and food makers for beer-inspired fare. And we asked beer gurus to match these dishes with selections from a dozen nearby breweries. The results of such culinary creativity are some matches made in heaven, all for your enjoyment. Buy tickets here.
September 26-October 3
Part seasonal food festival and part charitable fund raiser, the second annual Edible Eat Drink Local Week, produced in conjunction with the Council on the Environment of New York, celebrates the entire food chain, from farm to table, and invites New Yorkers to get to know the people who grow and prepare and serve their food--and to support them. You can find participating restaurants, wine shops, beer bars, hotels and other partners here.
