According to the organizers:
A final glimpse of the Lowline Lab, a celebration of all we’ve accomplished, and a nod to the exciting opportunities ahead of us…
In October 2015, the Lowline Lab was opened- a one-of-a-kind testing space for the Lowline’s technology and vision. In the last year and a half of research, community outreach, and cultural programming at the Lowline Lab, over 100,000 people have visited, from across New York City and from around the world. The Lowline Lab has demonstrated the science and magic behind the Lowline idea and given us all a taste of what’s to come.
Just this summer, the Lowline received its first official approval from the City of New York. This milestone lays out a clear path for the Lowline to achieve legal site designation. With this exciting achievement, the Lowline is now embarking on a very ambitious agenda. In the year ahead, we will complete a comprehensive schematic design; conduct deep community engagement and welcome our second class of teen “Young Amabassadors”; advance our solar technology research; and increase the capacity of our Board and staff to prepare for a major capital fundraising campaign.
Join us on March 9th for an intimate dinner inside our award-winning tech exhibit for an evening that will delight, inspire, and kick off a remarkable year.
