In celebration of Black History Month, all February long, Bubby’s will pay homage to the African American influence that is served at the restaurant. Recipes from “What Mrs Fisher Knows about Old Southern Cooking,” the first African American cookbook, written by Abby Fisher, a freed slave who lived in San Francisco will be featured.
Join Bubby’s for some tasty Hoppin’ John, Sweet Potato Hash with House Cured Country Ham and Red Eye Gravy, Shrimp and Grits, Collard Greens with Ham Hocks and Pot Likker and Corn Pone, and a Lafayette-Style Dark Gumbo, along with menu regulars like Fried Chicken, Black Eyed Peas and Fried Okra.
