partner tipThere is such a great wealth of craft beer, wine, spirits and cider being made in New York state these days. How do you keep up? You could buy tons of bottles, head to bars every night—or just pick up a ticket for Taste NY Experience, happening next Wednesday, May 24, at the beautiful Pier A Harbor House all the way downtown.

“Taste NY is an initiative launched by Governor Cuomo in 2013 to promote New York’s food and beverage industries,” they explain. “It is overseen by the Department of Agriculture and Markets and has created opportunities for local producers to showcase their goods at a variety of venues throughout the State and at large public events, such as the Great New York State Fair and the Barclays Tournament at Bethpage State Park.”

Local producers who will be offering up sample of their wares include Bedell Cellars, Breuckelen Distilling, Brooklyn Cider House, Brooklyn Winery, Descendant Cider, Finger Lakes Distillery, Kings County Brewers Collective, Kings County Distillery, Macari Vineyards, New York Distilling Co., Saratoga Brewing, Van Brunt Stillhouse, Yonkers Brewing and more.

The event is open to everyone. Tickets start at $75 for General Admission and $125 for VIP Admission, which includes early access and a cocktail demonstration by The Dead Rabbit’s Melissa Markert—you wouldn’t want to miss that. The Taste NY site has more information and is the place to buy tickets.
